Who’s That Girl?

I have been a big supporter of DIY for as long as I can remember – my first attempt being a DIY haircut at the tender age of four. I have learned a lot since then - namely the importance of having a great hairstylist - but my love for everything handmade and handcrafted has only grown stronger over the years.
Having been born and raised on the Canadian Prairies, I quickly developed an appreciation for warm, cozy clothing and accessories. I have a ridiculous collection of scarves and hats that seems to continue to grow despite my best efforts to downsize.
I have a penchant for scattering various half finished knit, sewing, crochet and crafting projects all over my house… maybe 2013 will be the year I get more organized!
I spend way too much time on Craft Gossip, Ravelry, BurdaStyle and Pinterest, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because my shiftwork job has me sitting at a desk for 10 hours a day, I like to be active in my spare time. I play volleyball (indoor in the winter and beach in the summer), run, weight train, and hit the yoga mat often.
If my nose isn’t buried in a book or I’m not on the volleyball court, I can most certainly be found sitting in front of my vintage Viking, reminding myself to “sit up straight”.
